Ladies' Retreat September 2017

On 16 September 2017, Goodshaw Baptist ladies had another annual retreat.  Twenty-two ladies met to share fellowship and journey with our Saviour in encouraging, supporting, and serving one another.  The day was filled with fun, thought-provoking activities, and getting to know each other better.  We took time out to share, lunched together, and enjoyed the rural surroundings and peace of the Rossendale hills.

We massaged each others' hands with oils while we considered what it is to truly worship our Lord through serving, touching hearts and minds while listening to one another.  The activities encouraged and guided us to look at our approach to drawing alongside each other in times of need.  We rounded off the day with Communion together.

Many thanks and blessings in Christ to all those who joined and shared with us, and thanks also to our local CPA club for providing the venue and delicious lunch.  As this was our second year, we hope the event will become an annual get-together in autumn every year, and are already feeling led in ideas for next year’s theme.
