 Bev

Bev Farrow

The foundation for my life is my faith in Jesus and I feel so blessed that He has called me into fellowship here at Goodshaw where my faith can grow in partnership with this loving church community and where I can serve Jesus, our fellowship and community.     I have been a Church Member at Goodshaw for 29 years and have previously served as a Deacon and Church Secretary. I was re-elected in May 2024 and I am currently serving as Church Secretary. I love teaching our children about Jesus so I am a Discoverers teacher and helper in Pathfinders. I am passionate about the Bible and jointly lead a housegroup with Jayne Haworth. I help at Oasis and our tea parties and attend the Monday prayer meeting. I am involved with the CAP Rossendale Debt centre. I worked as a childminder and nanny for many years and now care for my Mum in her later years. I have been married to Dave for 45 years and we have 2 wonderful grown-up children (and 2 fantastic children-in-law!) and 2 gorgeous grandchildren. As well as our passion for Jesus, Dave and I also have a passion for dogs, we have had 5 dogs of our own and we are Puppy Raisers for Guide Dogs, who as part of their training attend church! I also love walking and knitting and crochet.

Jayne re-joined the diaconate in September 2017 and regularly speaks at church, hosts a weekly Bible study, and runs outreach courses annually.  She works in Accrington as a Nurse Practitioner.  Her passions are gardening and home making.  Jayne wants to see more people getting to know Jesus and living a faith filled life.

 Christine

Christine Moores

I have been a committed Christian since 1977 and was baptised in 1978 in the Baptist Church.  I joined Goodshaw in 2016 after worshipping and serving for 25 years in the Anglican Church.  I am a passionate believer in the Trinity, the Gospel and the power of prayer.  I am also very keen in seeking the unity of the whole body at Goodshaw and the invitation to Christ for the neighbourhood, through pastoral care and sharing my testimony.  I retired from working in Special Education with children with disabilities in 2008 and have since voluntarily supported a group of adults with additional needs to access church and related activities.  I am married to David, have two children and three grandchildren.  I love art, design, music, walking and gardening. I also adore dog sitting my daughter’s Cockapoo Pearl.
