TeamBuilders Holiday Club Celebration LEGO Service

On Sunday morning, our church was filled with colour, creativity and laughter as we celebrated the end of our TeamBuilders Holiday Club 2026 with a special LEGO Service.

Throughout the week, the children explored the theme of teamwork through Bible stories that reminded us how God calls us to work together, encourage one another and use our gifts for His glory.

On our first day, we learned about Joseph and how important it is not to become a ‘big head’ when things are going well. Instead, we should encourage and support those around us, recognising that our talents and blessings come from God.

The next day, we looked at the story of Queen Esther, whose courage and faith enabled her to stand up for her people when it mattered most. Esther showed us that God can use ordinary people to do extraordinary things when they are willing to be brave.

On our final day, we explored how Jesus chose His disciples. This reminded us that each one of us is chosen, loved and precious to God. Just as Jesus called His followers to be part of His team, He calls us to follow Him today.

Our celebration service brought together many of the families who attended Holiday Club, and the church hall was soon overflowing with LEGO creations inspired by the week’s stories. There were magnificent Egyptian pyramids, sarcophagi, sphinxes and colourful Joseph’s coats. For Esther’s story, families built crowns, sceptres and royal palaces. Inspired by Jesus and His disciples, we saw crosses, fish, statues and animals, all carefully designed and built by children and adults working together.

During the service, our Bible reading reminded us of the importance of love, kindness and caring for one another. These values were at the heart of everything we explored during TeamBuilders, and were clearly visible in the way children, leaders and families worked together throughout the week.

We also took time to thank God for a fantastic Holiday Club, for all our dedicated volunteers, and for the wonderful Family BBQ that helped bring everyone together in fellowship and fun.
