Pathfinder Camp
Camp in its current format hasn’t changed significantly since it started over 50 years ago. A group of leaders have taken children (mainly from the local community) to camp in a farmers’ field near Ripon for a week, typically during the first week of the school summer holidays. They have met for daily meetings with a Christian message, enjoyed tasty food (outdoors when the weather allows), visited places including theme parks and municipal parks and taken part in activities such as swimming and sports day.
At present, camp is on hold while the camp leaders review how, when and where we ‘do’ camp, while still keeping the core aim in place – making Jesus known to children and young people.
